I'm preaching from Roman 8:12-25 this week. The sermon title is Pay Up! I look forward to another wonderful Sunday with you!

On July 1, 2017, Rev. Leslie Jackson became the Pastor of Cathedral of Hope Houston. In his first sermon as Pastor, he sheds new light on the sacrifice of Isaac in order to build hope for the future of our church, our community, and our lives. Just remember to look up. There's a ram in the bush!

This Sunday Rev. Lynette Ross brings a witness entitled “Are You Taking Notes?” where she talks about the Beatitudes in a way that will hopefully prompt you to take notes as you journey with Jesus throughout your life!

Plans keep getting changed – what I was planning on bringing as a witness this Sunday no longer seems appropriate after the results of Tuesday’s election. I cannot tell you at this moment what my message will be. I know that many of you feel vulnerable, fearful and at risk. I also know there are those who are pleased with the results of the election and see it as a signal for better days for the country. We are indeed a nation divided. I also know there are so many questions. Important questions. Life altering questions. Will my marriage be deemed invalid? Will I lose my insurance and not be able to get new insurance because of a pre-existing condition? Will people I love be forced to leave the country who have lived here since they were small children? I don’t know the answers to those questions and the many more that I am sure concern all of us. While I may not know the answers to any of these questions, what I do know is that whether it is a time of celebration, a time of loss or a time of uncertainty, we are better together than apart. I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come? My help comes from God, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 Shalom, Lynette

As we move toward the beginning of a new church year we are exploring what spiritual gifts we need to be a follower of Jesus. Last week we explored that to have the faith of even a tiny mustard seed is a good thing and that God stands ready to increase our faith as we remain faithful. This week we are going to explore the story in Luke 17 of Jesus healing the ten lepers. It is a short story, but filled with meaning and depth. Rev. Lynette Ross delivers a witness entitled “What We See Makes All the Difference.”

Rev. Lynette Ross gives us a witness entitled Clothed In Rejoicing.
